A competitor

The definition of a competitor is any person or entity which is a rival against another. This Sunday is the last race of the NASCAR chase for the Sprint Cup. This is the closest the points have ever been with this points system. Denny Hamlin is in first place, only 15 points ahead of the winner of the last 4 Sprint Cups, Jimmie Johnson. Fifteen points in NASCAR is like being up 2 points in the NBA. Its not terribly hard to beat but you still have to make the shot. The competition is going to be fierce on Sunday. It is going to be just as difficult trying to take the lead as it is holding it. If one thing goes wrong with eithier driver or their cars, Hamlin or Johnson will come up short. But they have to be competitors. These drivers will have to push all the way to the last second without slowing down. Johnson will win by an inch. Even if you're not a NASCAR fan you have to respect the competition.
