The week on repeat

Did you hear about Cam Newton? Did you hear about how Favre and Childress aren't getting along? Did you hear how the Dallas Cowboys still don't have a chance to make the playoffs? YES!!!! We have heard it like a broken record. News outlets consistently talk about the same news stories or irrelevant teams and beat these stories to death. Cam Newton is a prime example. Newton has been accused of cheating on tests and taking money from colleges to join. And all week we have heard whether or not he should have a chance for the Heisman. There has been no evidence that he actually did these things. But yet we must hear all the new updates everyday on how he "allegedly" has done these things. Then there's the other side of things. The Dallas Cowboys are like the Yankees of football. Their record is 1-7. I think it's safe to say they're not going to the playoffs. Yet for weeks we have heard about how bad they were playing. I understand losing your franchise QB and the changing of coaches is newsworthy. But does it take two weeks to explain both? Why don't we hear about teams that are in smaller markets that have better records? Teams like the St.Louis Rams, Kansas City Chiefs, or even the Oakland Raiders who are half  a game back from the Chiefs, which are ahead of the of the San Diego Chargers. In time things might change. But until then you're still reading more news about the guys you have heard about all week.

  1. Now do you understand why I can't listen to sports radio or watch ESPN First Take? It's not the first time I've heard it!!
